Can you get residency in Mexico if you buy a house?
You can be eligible for Temporary Residency in Mexico by owning a residential property in the country with an assessed market value of at least 40,000x daily minimum wage (MW) or UMA.
You must have title to the property and use it as your main residence. A necessary requirement is that you do not own a home abroad.
Your application will be reviewed for approval and you will be required to present documents proving residence, economic solvency and employment status if applicable
Upon confirmation of your requirements, you will receive an ID card from the Immigration Office confirming your new Temporary Resident status
